IoT World Forum Young Women’s Innovation Grand Challenge



By 2020, it’s estimated that 50 billion devices will be connected to the Internet, thanks to the Internet of Things (IoT). With this growth comes opportunities to foster innovation, especially among tomorrow’s entrepreneurs and executives. 

That’s why Cisco is inviting young women to enter the international IoT World Forum (IoTWF) Young Women’s Innovation Grand Challenge, featuring a top prize of $20,000.

Young women, ages 13–18, can submit original solutions that are enabled by IoT technologies. These ideas should better peoples’ lives, create new business opportunities, or increase efficiencies in: 

• Education
• Healthcare
• Manufacturing
• Energy
• Retail
• Transportation
• Smart Cities

Internet of Things (IoT) and our future



My first article on Cisco Blogs :)

IoT (Internet of Things) has been a major topic of discussion, especially in 2014. Everyone predicts that in the near future almost everything will be connected to the Internet and will have its own IP address. But are everything should be online?
Especially If you’ve watched Sci-Fi movies like Eagle Eye, perhaps you’re asking yourself about what our future will look like?
In this article, I will share my thoughts and raise questions about four main factors related to IoT’s future. IP addressing, renewable energy sources for mobile things, reasonable and affordable systems, and community safety and security.
