Most of you (employers) receive many resumes & application forms when you just announce for a vacancy whether it’s real or fake just for advertising or as a recorded expenses for the taxes authorities ;)
You said "we will contact the short listed candidates" the lucky ones
OK so what about the majority of us the unlucky ones?
You make us spent a lot of time filling your careers site forms to add our information to your database so your HR staff enjoy there setting choosing the short listed
Why you do not use an automated mail system to send us (the unlucky ones) a sorry email
"We regret to inform you that ....."
"We sorry to inform you that ......"
"We want to let you know that ......"
To save us from false hopes and dreams waiting for the call that will never comes
